Good News from Some H-2B Users

You are here:

Last week, employers began receiving receipts and approvals from the Department of Homeland Security for H-2B visa petitions submitted under the May 8 rule that established a process for employers to apply for an additional 30,000 H-2B visas for fiscal year 2019.  These visas are limited to returning workers who received H-2B visas in one or more of the previous three fiscal years (2016, 2017 or 2018).  To date, DHS has not made any announcement about the supplemental cap being hit.  Some employers have expressed a challenge finding returning workers so late into the season. AmericanHort continues to work with Congress on securing permanent cap relief.  We will keep you updated on our efforts.
